Want more Cookies?

I made some more simple cookies with brown sugar :)

Roast Salmon - Asian Special

This is Japanese style roast salmon. The fish was seasoned overnight with a sauce made with sugar, Japanese miso, rice vinegar, and cooking wine. It is then roasted in the oven.
Yum yum - goes great with rice in the lunchbox.

A Great Noodle meal with Chen and Macro Polo

Can't choose between Italian or Chinese? Why not both! This dish used both spinach macaroni and egg noodles. They were first cooked seperately and were then mixed with a sauce prepared with olive oil, osyter sauce, soy sauce, chili paste, assorted vegetables, and meat of one's preference (e.g., Japanese fish flakes were mixed in, too). Some sesame seed oil were then added at the end. The trick is to mix them well so each bite can come with both egg noodles and macaroni. It can be kept for several days and served with other stuff!

I Love Sushi!

This is just some very simple Sushi I made.

I rolled my Sushi with eggs, crab meat, cucumber, carrots, daikon, and hotdogs. Once the ingredients were cut, you can do your mix and match and make a variety of Sushi. They are great for a light meal.

Jam-Filled Cookies

Here are my jam-filled cookies. They are very easy to make and are delicious. You can also sprinkle brown sugar or icing sugar on top of them, but I just eat them "as it" :)

Baked Chicken Strips Recipe

Here is how I made my chicken strips - they are low fat and healthy :)

I marinated the chicken breast with:
(1) 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, (2) 1 teaspoon of mustard, (3) 1/2 teaspoon of salt, (4) 2 teaspoon of sugar, (5) 2 teaspoons of sherry wine, (6) 2 teaspoons of lemon juice, (7) a bit of black pepper, (8) 2 teaspoons of corn starch, which needed to be put in after ingredent 1-7 were added and mixed with the chicken), (9) several drops of sesame seed oil and a teaspoon of olive oil, both were added after 1-9 were added.

The chicken were then covered and sat for a couple hours.

Then, I preheated the oven to 350F
I coated the chicken with flour, piece by piece.

I then laid the pieces on a greased pizza stone, sprayed no-stick oil on top of them, and placed the stone in the center of my oven, start baking.
After about 13 minutes, I took the stone out, turn the chicken pieces around, and sprayed oil, then baked for another 13-15 minutes.

It turned out nicely (you can also put some lettuce underneath when serving, I put a couple sheets of nori seaweed).

And, with the fish congee, I made earlier, my meal was ready. I also put some kimchi inside the congee. They were served with some leftover bread we had.

Home Made Roasted Pork

This is the first time I tried to make my own roasted pork - this dish is often store-bought, as the one shown in the last picture. As you can tell, the home-made one in this picture looks much nicer! My hubby loves it :)
